Oscar and Mateo met professionally in 2015, started dating in 2019, and married in 2024. Oscar brought internationally recognized expertise from 23+ years choreographing for NFL and NBA teams; Mateo brought 27+ years of building and leadingcheer, dance, and spirit programs at every level. But their connection ran deeper. Both were inspired by the vogue ballroom scene—Mateo's exposure to it in the 90s opened his eyes to a culture of radical creativity, community, and the art of bringing out people's absolute best. They recognized that ballroom's core philosophy—the concept of a "haus" as a chosen family collectively working toward greatness, dynamic expression, and belonging—was exactly what the dance and cheer world needed. In 2024, they officially founded The Haus of OH to bring that philosophy to life. Today, living in beautiful New Mexico with their son Isaac, his wife (their daughter-in-life), two sassy and delightful granddaughters, and two poodles, Oscar and Mateo have created a space where teams across the US and internationally come to dominate the sideline and own the competition floor—not as isolated athletes, but as a collective committed to excellence and the belief that every team deserves access to world-class training and mentorship. This is more than choreography. This is a community.

Oscar is known throughout the NFL and NBA as "Big O: The King of Pro"—and for good reason. With 23+ years of experience choreographing for the Las Vegas Raiders, Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors, Miami Dolphins, and 30+ other professional teams across the US and internationally, Oscar creates the viral moments that define sports entertainment. His work has lit up America's Got Talent, The Ellen Show, NBA All-Star Games, and television screens globally. When organizations need hard-hitting, jaw-dropping, crowd-electrifying choreography that moves both fans and judges, they call Big O.
Beyond the professional accolades, Oscar is a mentor and collaborator at heart. His choreography has won state and national titles, and as co-founder of The Haus of OH, Oscar partners with teams to deliver choreography that doesn't just perform—it transforms. Oscar and Mateo's shared commitment to relationship-centered partnership ensures that every collaboration honors the team's vision while bringing the pro-level execution that wins on sidelines and competition floors.

Mateo brings 27+ years of experience building and leading championship cheer, dance, and spirit programs across high school, collegiate D1, and all-star levels. He's served as Director of Spirit Programs at the University of Wyoming, Assistant Coach at New Mexico State University, and Head Coach at multiple high schools—consistently delivering top placements at state and national competitions. As a judge at high school, all-star, and collegiate levels, Mateo understands what wins on the competition floor and what moves crowds on game day. His coaching philosophy centers on precision, performance excellence, and bringing out the absolute best in every athlete he works with.
Beyond his coaching credentials, Mateo's formal education and career experience in social work inform how The Haus of OH operates. He's deeply committed to ensuring that every partnership we build is rooted in genuine relationship and respect—and that we're always uplifting the teams and communities we work with. This foundation shapes everything THOH does, from choreography to mentorship to the way we show up for our partners.
